Our Tofino fishing charters are offered from early March until the end of October with our peak season being May thru September for Chinook (King) Salmon and July thru October for Coho (Silver) Salmon.

March thru May

This season offers comfortable fishing in protected inlets for Feeder (Blackmouth) Chinook Salmon and early migratory King Salmon that follow our local Herring populations returning from the open seas on their annual spawning ritual. These Salmon are generally 6 – 20 lbs, averaging around 10 lbs with some much larger and the odd Halibut coming aboard our Tofino fishing boats.

As well, starting in mid July thru the end of September our Tofino fishing charters offer inshore opportunities for trolling close to shore along kelp beds or in bays for Chinook and Coho Salmon fattening up prior to their spawning runs up our local rivers.This fishery may be restricted by our federal Fisheries Department with unique area and catch limits from year to year.

If you’re going on a Tofino fishing charter you may as well go with the BEST! Our boats won both 1st and 3rd places in 1997 and 1998 as well as 1st place in 2002 and 2009 in Tofino’s annual fishing derbies.
