TRAVELING TO TOFINO, LONGBEACH & UCLUELET

Being a world class tourist destination adjoining Pacific Rim National Park with over 1 million visitors a year and as a designated world Unesco Biosphere Reserve Tofino’s access is well developed. There are many options of travel that our guests can use depending on their time and budget.

Driving via paved highway

Follow Island highway # 1 north from Nanaimo and take the highway # 4 exit past scenic rainforest thru Port Alberni and continue on highway # 4 and turning right at the Tofino/Ucluelet junction and follow thru Pacific Rim National Park to Tofino. Total driving time from Nanaimo is about 3 hrs.

Ferries

For drivers Vancouver Island is well serviced with many ferry options.BC Ferries have many sailings from Tsawwassen, south of Vancouver and near the Canada/US border and Horseshoe Bay, north of Vancouver both to Nanaimo on east central Vancouver Island. They also run from Tsawwassen to Victoria ( 5hr drive to Tofino ) regularly.For our US guests Washington State Ferries travel from Anacortes and the Coho Ferry from Port Angeles both to the Victoria area.

Flying

There are options for our guests that wish to save on traveling time by flying in.Our airport which is located in Pacific Rim National Park and a 15 min drive from Tofino is serviced by daily scheduled wheeled aircraft via a 40 min flight from Vancouver by a couple of airlines.     

Another option for our international and clients across Canada is flying via Westjet Airlines to Comox on eastern Vancouver Island and driving via rental car to Tofino which takes about 4 hrs.

Upon Arrival

For our guests on accommodation packages, Tofino Ospray Lodge can be found at 450 Neill St

When approaching Tofino highway # 4 becomes Campbell St at village limit. Proceed on Campbell St to 1st 4 way stop at 4th St.Turn left on 4th St and go 1 block to Neill St (on your right ) and turn right an Neill St. We are the first driveway on your right.

Check in times are 3 – 6 PM ( pls call if late check in required) and check out time is 11 AM.

For our Tofino fishing charter clients not staying at our lodge we request that they check in by calling 250.725.2133 once they get settled into their accommodations to discuss details of their trip and get directions. Our charter boats depart from Method Marina – 380 Main St, Tofino’s only fuel and marine supply facility where licenses may be purchased in necessary.
